Time and time again, research has found that regular participation in high-quality out-of-school time programming is linked to significant gains in students’ work habits and academic growth, as well as reductions in problematic behavior and school-day absences. Quality OST programs are intentionally designed to provide engaging activities that are sequenced and aligned with program goals and are taught by trained, dedicated instructors who work effectively with youth.
